Law of Administrative Activity A/B/C/D

7 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese

Theoretical knowledge of Administrative Law, with a focus on the activity of Public Authorities, always in light of its practical applications. In this course, students become familiar with current Portuguese Administrative Law, which has surpassed the traditional tasks of administrative policing and public service to a wider concept of infrastructural and regulatory administration within the European Union. Students also learn the grounds and principles of Administrative Law and, in particular, the legal forms of action at the disposal of Public Authorities, such as the administrative act, the administrative regulation and contract. They also explore the nature of the legal administrative relationship and the legal positions of individuals vis-à-vis the State.
