Merit Scholarships allow recipients to benefit from (total or partial) exemption of tuition fees for a year. They are not only an incentive to study but also a reward for the students’ effort.

1st year
In accordance with its recognition and support policy, Católica | Lisbon School of Law offers new students the following scholarships during the 1st year of study (0 to 200 scale):

  • Total Tuition Fee Exemption: with an application grade equal to or higher than 180 points.
  • 75% Reduction in tuition fees: with an application grade equal  to or higher than 175 points.
  • 50% Reduction in tuition fees: with an application grade equal  to or higher than 170 points.
  • 25% Reduction in tuition fees: with an application grade equal  to or higher than 165 points.

Following Years*
Throughout the degree, students who obtain the following overall grades (0 to 20 grade) in the previous school year  will benefit from a reduction in tuition fees:

  • Total Tuition Fee Exemption: with an overall grade equal to or higher than 17 marks.
  • 75% Reduction in tuition fees: with an overall grade between 16 and 16.9 marks.
  • 50% Reduction in tuition fees: with an overall grade between 15.5 and 15.9 marks.
  • 25% Reduction in tuition fees: with an overall grade between 15.0 and 15.4 marks.

* These are the grades for the 2021/2022 academic year but they may be revised in the following academic years.
Note: For reduction purposes, the tuition fee corresponds to the amount paid for enrolling in 30 ECTS per semester.

Justice Maria dos Prazeres Beleza Scholarships

The aim of the Justice Maria dos Prazeres Beleza Scholarships programme is to support academically promising students that, due to their socio-economic situation, lack the funds to pay for the tuition fees of the Católica | Lisbon School of Law Undergraduate Degree.
