Environmental Law

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese

The course on Environmental Law starts from an initial assumption regarding the features of the environmental risk as a determinant factor for modern societies. Therefore, resorting to an integrated legal methodology, the core aim of this course is to equip students with proficiency tools that will allow them to understand the environmental phenomena from a non-legal perspective, so that, in a second phase, they will better understand the specific legal solutions designed to cope with these problems. The syllabus includes, therefore, issues of national, European; and international law; of constitutional, administrative, civil, and criminal law.
