The History of Trade Integration at the EU - and world - level

4 ECTS / Semester / Inglês

The course aims to introduce students into the study of trade integration at the world (WTO) and regional (EU) level. To this effect, we start with an introduction into the mechanics of integrating trade worldwide (since anyway the EU postdates the establishment of the world trade institutions). We then place the EU within the context of the world institutions to highlight its functions within, above and beyond the WTO.
