Climate change is the defining issue of our time, for the challenges it poses to mankind in general. For lawyers, climate change is not only a phenomenon of observation, but rather one that clearly impacts the legal system. Adopting an international law perspective, this seminar aims at enlightening students on the severe impact that climate change phenomena have on different domains of public international law (e.g. migration or refugee law, the law of the sea, or human rights) and also the legal instruments and doctrines that ought to be developed to cope with these phenomena.
