Cláudia Simão holds a PhD in Experimental Social Psychology from Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon and is an Invited Assistant Professor at CATÓLICA-LISBON School of Business & Economics, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations specialised agency for the world of work; the International Social Security Association (ISSA), a leading international organisation in the field of social security; and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She has also worked with governments and private-sector organisations on projects in the fields of social protection, employment, culture, health and public finance.
Her experience includes the design, implementation and evaluation of experimental studies and other applied methodologies to test interventions, understand behaviour and translate scientific evidence into practical recommendations for public policies, programmes and services.
She is the author or co-author of more than 50 scientific publications, including articles published in international peer-reviewed journals. Her work has also been featured in webinars, interviews and specialist discussions promoted by international organisations and networks, including Cinconecte in Brazil.
