This seminar explores the theory and practice of environmental taxation within the European Union. Students become familiar with the various economic instruments used to protect the environment, from taxes on water and waste to taxes on polluting emissions. Furthermore, students look at real examples from the European and Spanish experience of using these tax instruments and critically analyse them.
