The course’s general role is to broaden students’ knowledge on the fundamental right to data protection and to encourage analysis on the role of the Law in the digital age. Mindful of the historical background, students should understand the key-principles of the data protection regime under the new framework of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), while being able to reflect on their practical implementation.
