Learning outcomes

The management component aims to promote understanding of the impact of a company's financing structure, financial markets operation, and company valuation. The legal component addresses financial regulation, IPOs, securities offerings, regulated market trading, public acquisition offers, and "public to private" processes. The teaching method combines a theoretical and practical approach with continuous assessment.


Programmatic contents

Management:

  1. Introduction to the objective of corporate finance.
  2. The impact of capital structure in perfect markets.
  3. The effect of taxes on a company's capital structure.
  4. Introduction to business valuation methodologies.
  5. The different mechanisms of equity financing.

Law:

  1. Financial regulation.
  2. Securities offerings (IPO and SPO).
  3. Regulated market trading and issuer obligations.
  4. Public acquisition offers.
