Maria João is a teaching assistant at Católica, where she also earned her Law Degree (’93) and her Master’s Degree (’04). Maria João has a long-standing fascinating with Private International Law, a subject she is has been privileged to teach and abundantly research and publish on for the last years. At present, she is particularly interested on Conflict of Law issues of banking and financial law. Her current Ph.D. research work, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, focuses on choice of law aspects of intermediated securities.
