Professor Gonçalo Saraiva Matias joined this prestigious Foundation in 2018 as a Member of the Board and Director of Research. Now he succeeds Mr Jaime Gama as the new President of the Foundation.

"The years I lived at the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Jaime Gama, were of enormous wealth and acquisition of knowledge. It is therefore with an enormous sense of responsibility that I now assume the presidency of an institution I greatly admire and whose purpose is to contribute to a more informed and enlightened country," says Gonçalo Saraiva Matias.
