Ricardo Palma Borges
Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree in Law from the School of Law of Universidade de Lisboa, where he was a faculty member from 1994-2007. He is a Tax Lawyer and Managing Partner at the law firm RPBA, Sociedade de Advogados. Member of Observatório da Fiscalidade Portuguesa (the Portuguese Tax Observatory) and arbitrator for tax matters at the Administrative Arbitral Centre. He was the national representative at the 2011 International Fiscal Association Congress and at the High Level Scientific Conferences, held by the European Union, on “Tax Treaties and Social Security Conventions” (2005), "WTO and Direct Taxation" (2004), "CFC-Legislation, Tax Treaties and EC Law" (2003) and "Tax Treaty Interpretation" (2001). He edited The Acte Clair in EC Direct Tax Law, with Ana Paula Dourado and published six national reports and more than thirty scholarly, informative and news articles.
