Change of Course Programme

Students may request a change of course programme to the Católica | Lisbon School of Law if:

  1. they were enrolled in another institution/course programme in Portugal or abroad in the academic year previous to the year of the request and
     
  2. they have taken the national secondary education examinations (or homologous examinations) which correspond to the entry examinations required for the new course programme.

National education institutions

The candidate must provide:

  • Photocopy of Identity Card or passport (foreign candidates);
  • Photocopy of tax payer card;
  • Course Programme change request addressed to the Dean of the Católica | Lisbon School of Law;
  • Transcript of subjects for which a pass grade was achieved in the previous degree programme;
  • Secondary education diploma, with the respective transcript;
  • Documents providing evidence that the candidate meets the requirements for entering higher education, and the respective transcript (exclusively for candidates that have entered higher education via special entry modes)
  • Certificate stating the grade(s) obtained in the entry examination(s) previously considered to be admitted to higher education. Two of the Católica | Lisbon School of Law compulsory entry examinations, or homologous examinations, must have been taken;
  • Personal statement.

 

Foreign higer education institutions

The candidate must provide:

  • Photocopy of Identity Card or passport (foreign candidates);
  • Course Programme change request  addressed to the Dean of the Católica |Lisbon School of Law;
  • Transcript of subjects for which a pass grade was achieved in the previous degree programme;
  • Secondary education diploma and transcript. Two of the Católica | Lisbon School of Law compulsory entry examinations, or homologous examinations, must have been taken;
  • Documents providing evidence that the candidate meets the requirements for entering higher education, and the respective transcript (exclusively for candidates that have entered higher education via special entry modes);
  • Personal statement.

Note: foreign certificates must be authenticated by the official Education entities of the respective country. They must also be authenticated by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority; alternatively, the candidates must bring along the Hague Convention Apostille.

Course Programme Change (within UCP)

Students who may wish to change course programme within UCP only need to make a request addressed to the Dean of the Católica | Lisbon School of Law (the request is available in the e-sca). All the other documents will be made available by the Student’s Office, which already has the student’s file. The request will be considered by the Dean’s Office.
